If I have a concrete base, do you lay the resin bound surfacing over any expansion joints?

No, the resin bound surfacing cannot be laid straight over expansion joints in the concrete. If there is any movement of the concrete sections, this will cause reflective cracking in the new resin bound surfacing. In order to install the resin bound surfacing to the concrete we affix an aluminium and rubber expansion bead above the concrete expansion joint. This allows movement of the concrete sections, without cracking the resin bound surfacing.
